The correct and standardized operation of the pressure transducer can extend its service life. Today, let’s talk about what issues should be paid attention to during use:
(1) Prevent the transducer from contacting with corrosive or overheated media;
(2) Prevent slag from depositing in the conduit;
(3) When measuring liquid pressure, the pressure tapping port should be opened on the side of the process pipeline to avoid sedimentation and accumulation of slag;
(4) When measuring gas pressure, the pressure tapping port should be opened at the top of the process pipeline, and the transducer should also be installed on the upper part of the process pipeline so that the accumulated liquid can be easily injected into the process pipeline;
(5) The pressure pipe should be installed in a place with small temperature fluctuations.
(6) When measuring steam or other high-temperature media, a buffer tube (coil) or other condenser must be connected to prevent the operating temperature of the transducer from exceeding the limit;
(7) When freezing occurs in winter, anti-freezing measures must be taken for transducers installed outdoors to prevent the liquid in the pressure inlet from expanding due to freezing and causing damage;
(8) When measuring liquid pressure, the installation position of the transducer should avoid liquid impact (water hammer phenomenon) to prevent overpressure damage to the sensor;
(9) When wiring, pass the cable through the waterproof connector (accessory) or the winding tube and tighten the sealing nut to prevent rainwater from leaking into the transducer housing through the cable.
