Before choosing a suitable pressure transmitter, the first factor to consider is what kind of pressure needs to be measured. First determine the maximum value of the measured pressure in the system. Generally speaking, you need to choose a transmitter with a pressure range that is about 1.5 times larger than the maximum value. In many systems, especially in water pressure measurement and processing, there are peaks and continuous irregular up and down fluctuations. This instantaneous peak can damage the pressure sensor, but this will reduce the accuracy. In this case, a buffer can be used to reduce the pressure burr, but this will reduce the response speed of the sensor. Therefore, when choosing a transmitter, you should fully consider the pressure range, accuracy and stability.
What kind of pressure medium to measure is also an important consideration. Viscous liquids and mud will block the pressure interface, and solvents or corrosive substances may damage the materials in the transmitter that are in direct contact with these media. The material of the contact medium part of the general pressure transmitter is 316 stainless steel. If your medium is not corrosive to 316 stainless steel, then basically all pressure transmitters are suitable for your measurement of medium pressure. If your medium is corrosive to 316 stainless steel, then we have to use chemical seals, which can not only measure the pressure of the medium, but also effectively prevent the medium from contacting the liquid contact part of the pressure transmitter.
Finally, how much accuracy does the transmitter need? For pressure transmitters, the factors that determine accuracy are nonlinearity, hysteresis, non-repeatability, temperature, zero offset scale, and temperature. But mainly due to nonlinearity, hysteresis, and non-repeatability, the higher the accuracy, the higher the price. Every electronic measuring meter will have accuracy errors, but because the accuracy levels marked by different countries are different, it is necessary to make specific understanding and choices when choosing.
